Terms of Service
Last updated: June 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of qrgenieapp.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
QR Genie is provided free of charge to generate static QR codes. You may use the QR codes you create for personal or commercial purposes without attribution.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- encode content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or invasive of privacy;
- distribute malware, phishing pages, or scams;
- impersonate another person or organization;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the text, URLs, contact information, and logo images you encode. Because generation happens in your browser, we do not receive, store, or claim any rights over that content.
4. Intellectual property
The QR Genie name, logo, site design, copy, and source code are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. The QR Code trademark is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
5. Third-party links and advertising
The Service may display advertisements and link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.
6. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that QR codes generated will be suitable for any particular purpose. Always test a printed QR code with multiple devices before distributing it at scale.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QR Genie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
